The Grant construction number list is a reconstruction as there is no known surviving record. A few months ago I was shared a recent attempt to reconstruct -- or verify -- part of the list in the 1880s.

I am traveling now, but when I return home I will look at that information and maybe share your comments with my source. My source is often a contributing source for various published rosters.
