EBT 2007 Fall Spectacular

The East Broad Top's annual Fall Spectacular event is rapidly approaching, and will be held this year over the Columbus Day weekend, October 6-7. A special freight train, powered by 2-8-2 Mikado #15, will depart the station at 10:00 a.m. both days. The train will consist of eight hopper cars and a combine, and special limited-seating tickets in the combine are required for this trip ($50 per person, 40 seats available). No. 15 will be joined by GE 55-ton diesel M-7, 1924 gas motorcar M-3, and the historic M-1 gas electric car. Guided shop and roundhouse tours will be available, as well as speeder rides down recently reopened track south of the Rockhill Yard. In addition, the Rockhill Trolley Museum will feature numerous displays and exhibits, as well as 30-minute rides down its 1.5-mile line along the Blacklog Creek (which is quite scenic during foliage season).
