Sumpter in latter years

Was Sumpter utilitized by the railroad in latter years. With limited published imformation on the Sumpter Valley being primarily the books Rails, Sagebrush & Pine, Mixed Trains Daily & some articles in Trains magazine along time ago. There appears to be little or no use from the town the railroad was named for. Photos seem to show the wye below the town was about all that was used. If so used what was the layout of the yard.
