Gordon Chappell put together a nice write up of these for the NPS. This was posted on NGDF a while back when the subject came up before.

Curious Case of the Buried Locomotives

I photographed both of them in the Skagway yard when I was there in 96. Back then the brush was so thick that you couldn't get to all sides.
