For many years now, Carl Turner has diligently represented the interests of the C&TSRR with New Mexico's Legislature and other government entities. And, he has made sure that those of us who support the C&TSRR have been properly recognized at hearings and committee meetings. Carl's work has created enormous respect and support for the role of the C&TSRR in the economy of northern New Mexico.

Recognition this year is wholly deserved and little enough to acknowledge all Carl's work over past decades.

C&TS supporters in Colorado should recognize the need for consistent representation of the railroad's interests in the state capital and follow his example. These efforts are important in so many ways.
