Jim this is just too funny. I just watched that same dvd myself on Monday night. One of my favorites. Lots of great RGS footage from that trip. What a lucky bunch of folks. It must have been just incredible. It is a shame that the RGS couldn't be saved as a tourist line. I grew up in Montrose and have made many trips over the old ROW when traveling to college in Arizona. I think it is the most beautiful part of Colorado. I believe that Malory Farrel was on that trip as a boy. He talks a little about that trip on another Green Frog dvd "Ghost Train: RGS #455" Another great video that one.
