A further thought from the information that's been given in the various posts on this subject.
The loop opened on the 15th June, and due to shut down on the 8th October, according to their web-site, plus I believe they've already lost 5 days due to the current shut-down. This gives a total potential number of operating days of 111, if I'm wrong please let me know.
If the maximum daily capacity is 650 people then the maximum number of passengers they can carry this season is 72,150 assuming no more lost days and 100% loading. This compares to the 72,617 stated for the last season (From a post Chris made on the 22nd March 2007).
However, assuming the overall loading is less than 100%, say 90%, (which if they were to attain would be a real achievement) then the total potential ridership is 64,935. This compares to the 65,665 passengers they carried in 2005 (Again from an post Chris made on the 22nd March 2007 quoting an article in the Courant)
Therefore, it appears that the ridership this year is going to be less than last year, and could even be less than 2005, assuming there is no sudden change in circumstances.
