It’s about 2-1/2 hours from Allentown to Strasburg. Rt. 222 South to Rt. 30 East, to Rt. 896 South, to Rt. 741 East.

The hostler starts work at 7:30 am, seven days a week through Labor day. The shops start working at 7:30 am Monday through Friday.

The gift shops open at 10:30.

Until Labor day, the first train leaves at 11:00 am, and leaves every hour on the hour until 7:00 pm, except 6:00 pm. A second train leaves at 11:30, 12:30, 1:30. After labor day, trains run on a reduced schedule.

There is a shop tour every day at noon, led by one of the mechanics, taking turns in rotation. #20 can be seen in detail on that tour. Buy a ticket at the station.

Across the street, the RR Museum of PA is open from 9:00 to 5:00, Sundays 12:00 to 5:00.
