Track laying was begun June 15, 1905 on the construction of the Farmington Branch using a Robert Track Layer. Can anyone describe if this was a machine or a method of an extension boom? The line was opened to Aztec Sept. 29 and to Farmington October 15, 1905, all standard gauge, although the only rail access was via 3' until 1923.
