Yes, it would be cross country skiing. The idea would be to leave the caboose at the end of the line with some hot chocolate, and ferry X-country skiiers up and down the line. There are numerous back-woods roads deep in the woods that might make good trails.
As I said, it's an embroyonic idea right now. Nothing's been worked out with the local landowners, nor has other issues such as grooming even been considered or thought of.
