There was a large Ice house and ponds at Alamosa and another smaller facility at Durango but I don't know about around the rest of the narrow gauge circle. Prior to 1919 there was a small Ice house at Chama but I know little about it. Whether it was only for local distribution of ice that came from elsewhere or whether they cut ice on the Chama river I don't know. That ice house was near where the wool warehouse is now, just south of the warehouse.
