Amazingly enough, with all the UP experts out there, there isn't! (At least, I'm not aware of any) But I would refer you to a back issue of the UPHS publication "The Streamliner" with a great article of this engine's move in 1970 from stuffed and mounted in a fairpark to 2nd career as a tourist hauler. There was also an article in an old "Pacific Rail News" on moving 1744 from display in Corinne, UT (on the road to Promontory Golden Spike) to operational status in 1979-80.
As for the Heber Valley website, it is still under revision and could definitely use some work on listing the equipment we have (and have had in the past), photos past and present, and some historical information.
I guess it is time I dust off my old box of Kodachrome 64's from the 80's and scan them.
Jeff Terry, where are you? He was collecting a bunch of HVRR historical stuff for an article or book.
