A history of friendly crews.

Most crews back in the day were friendly to train photographers even helpful. Yeah, there were jerks who didn't want their photo taken (knowing that there are all kinds of people in the profession, maybe they were afraid that they would be matched up with a photo at the post office), but they were the exception. Even good guys occaisonally have bad days. It seemed that the only railroaders that didn't like railfans were mainly officials who felt that hating your job and being nasty to "civilians" was a sign of professionalism.
Bob Richardson told me when he followed the last trains on the RGS, the crews were mindful that the roads were very icy and even told him at a water stop to flag the train down if he slid into the ditch!
The 315 is tantalizingly close to completion. However, there are some hang-ups that may postpone operation to later in the summer. More info as we know it.
