Dan, I heard the story that the city of San Diego – the car was standing on their property - told them to remove the car immediately. One of the members took action and destroyed the car. So according two peoples that I know from the SD area, it was scrapped. But I never have seen any image of the USG hopper in action. Yes, it's standard gauge but did they ever use them on the line? I'm still looking for more USG information. So any help is much appreciated.
