Great stuff, Jimmy!
I just wish there was more.
It seems to me that a contemporary writer would have had more to say about the colorful characters aboard those business cars. From what I have read about him, it is hard to imagine Perlman going on a nostalgic trip with a couple of visiting, affluent railfans.
