Rick,
Last time I looked there were still some mine remains on the SE corner of S. Boulder Road and 95th/Hwy 42. I was by there today, I should have looked. <img class=" />
I was at the Blue Parrot just the other day. My favorite was always Colacci's. My folks told me that there was an organ at I believe the Three Coins(?) next to Colacci's. Of course all three were owned by the same family. <img class=" />
I used to work with a lady whose family was one of the original homesteaders (her mother was the first woman to get off the train in Valmont), they lived on 75th and told me that when they'd go to visit relatives in Eldorado Springs it was an all day affair going by buggy! She was from the Stengel family and some of the relatives were Hogan's. There's still an original homestead on Arapahoe east of 75th - belongs to George Autrey. He still lived there last I knew.
Lots of memories wish I'd lived in Boulder longer than I did. (moved there in '64)
Larry.
