For those of you who might be inclined to do some trackwork, the WW&F Railway Museum in Alna, Maine, will hold its annual Spring Track Meet on April 27, 28 and 29. Work will commence each day at 7 a.m. and continue until dusk. We intend to ballast, line and surface the 1,020 feet of track we built last fall. Engine no. 10 will be in service on the ballast train. There will be plenty of good, stick-to-your-ribs food prepared in the Bay 1 cafe for all volunteers. There may be a few small projects under way during the weekend; however, the primary focus will be on getting the track ready for service. After all, the National Narrow Gauge Convention is coming up at the end of August, and we want to make a good impression. Everyone is welcome to come and lend a hand!
