Cumbres crews

How were the eastbound crews dispatched out of Chama? If they went first in-first out I could see somebody being stuck in Chama for a week.
In a related matter veteran Raton conductor BM Smith said he was once stuck in Las Vegas, NM for a week. He was deadheaded to Las Vegas for a York Canyon Coal train. Raton crews handled this train even though it didn't go through Raton. When his turn came up a Mexican Turn (export coal) came through and when his turn came up again the York Canyon was back.
He got plenty of miles in though.
