After a period of several years during which it has received a major overhaul, the Talyllyn Railway's No. 1 "Talyllyn", built by Fletcher Jennings in 1865, is nearly ready to return to service. When undergoing steam testing, prior to completion of the modern additions such as air brakes, etc. the opportunity was taken to run the loco with a short freight train in the condition in which it was originally delivered, without a cab.
