Restore #483 for 40th Anniversary of C&TS *LINK* *PIC*

It's less than 2-1/2 years 'til C&TS' 40th Anniversary!
Labor Day Weekend 2010 will be the 40th Anniversary of 483's arrival in Chama with the first C&TS train from Antonito - a perfect time to have a CELEBRATION! If our sister RR, the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge, continues to have its annual festival during the last week of August, then it is a natural for us to coordinate with all narrow gauge fans worldwide to extend the party for an extra few days in Chama!!
Restore #483 and re-create the first C&TS train! (Gold-and-Maroon paint optional, per 9/6/70 - see below.) Run a photo-freight (or two, or three)!! Invite the Geese - and RGS #20!!! Have an evening dinner train to Osier!!!! PLEASE some of you who are much closer to the action than I am, DO SOMETHING!!!!! *
Volume I of the "Help Save #483" screen saver is being updated, and will offer two (or maybe three) different resolutions - your choice - on one CD; Volume II will be available soon (see link). And of course we need donations far above and beyond this humble effort. But we don't have to raise all the money needed to restore #483 - we just need to raise enough so that when our funds are added to what the C&TS would have to spend for any other engine, #483 comes out ahead.
