I should have added with respect to Cole Lydon's private car, "R", that at that time it would have been painted a Tuscan red (slightly wine red) with imitation gold (mustard yellow) lettering "Denver & Rio Grande" on the letterboard above the windows, with imitation gold stripes elsewhere for decoration, and the letter "R" probably near each end below the belt rail.
As for Burns-Biggs, my best guess is that their logging railroad from Chama to Tierra Amarilla and beyond brought people from Tierra Amarilla, Ensenada, Brazos and Park View to Chama, where they got a D&RG passenger train to Antonito. As the Burns-Biggs Lumber Company had no passenger equipment, or even a caboose, what they used to haul them is a question - possibly cars borrowed from the D&RG. Their railroad had the name "Tierra Amarilla Southern Railroad" which appeared on its annual passes, and on a postal contract for carrying closed mail sacks, but apparently there were no locomotives or cars lettered for it, all having lumber company lettering.
