Here is an isolated 3' line that ran from Needles, AZ to the mines near Oatman. The line was opened in 1903 but only ran for about a year due to severe washouts. Looking at the aerial photo I can see why washoust would be a problem! From the little that I have read the line hauled ore for the Leland, Vivian and Midnight mines. I was only able to find the Midnight mine on the modern topo. I have marked it along with Leland Butte on the map. The Vivan mine was supposed to be closer to Oatman. The AZ railroad atlas shows a branch going to Leland and another to Vivian. I had a hard timing tracing the nothern part of the route up in the hills. It is still incomplete on this end. The southern portion of the route is also a mystery.
The BLM Kingman Field Office site has a crude map and direction to pick up the route. The majority of the route is now a hiking trail.
