My Dad has recovered my GreatGrandfathers brass set.
From what my dad tells an engineer would own his own set of brass and would place it on his locomotive to dress it up for special runs. They are 2 brass balls with a threaded insert. Anyone have any input or knowledge about these? I know that his all brass gauge lantern was kerosene and converted over to electric in the 20s. It is stamped Baldwin Locomotive Works, and is part of the set.
