The more modern Pyle lights have two bulbs. One was the headlight bulb which could be either dim or bright. Behind the reflector was the engine number bulb which comes on with the classification and gauge lights. The cab and deck lights were on switches but I believe they were wired into this same circuit. This is based on the way the lights on the 346 worked and I figure it was the same way with other locomotives.
Say, how did they power the lights in the plow flangers on the RGS? I think I saw some sort of "extension cord" which ran up there but I wonder where it plugged in on the locomotive. And how well the generator would do with additional lights (one headlamp and obviously some cab light(s) in the P/F.)
