Back in the early 1980's we put together a display in Chama of all the MOW equipment. It was along with one the NG Conventions. There wasn't any offical function in Chama for the convention but we thought it would be a cool thing to do for fans coming through Chama. We set out all the MOW stuff on track 1 next to the parking lot.
We ran an air hose over to the OP, drowned the winch engine in oil and low and behold, it came to life. We let it roll over for a while then put it to work by standing the pile driver up. It took a couple of tries. The first time we lifted it, the engine stalled from lack of pressure (we only had 90psi to work with). We then found that the brake would not hold the pile driver frame up and it came back down with a nice crash. I then revved the winch up and by slipping the clutch a bit got her to stand up.
Gary Getman, Russ Fischer and Steve Carr were my accomplises in this deal.
It was probably the last time OP got stood up.
