The Cumbres Loop IS Tanglefoot Curve. Cumbres Loop was the original name for it, until the tale that the brakeman got his foot tangled in some brush and almost slid into the path of his own train. Thats where you get the name tanglefoot from. Calico Cut is named I believe for the name of the Rock. Hurley's Curve is named after an engineer that was killed at this location in a derailment. As for rainbow, I have no idea where the name originated. Most likely a name for the different colored rocks that it passes through.
