I believe that the idea of a railroad in Breckenridge is just that - an idea. The town seems to be thinking of new ways to bring in tourists, as well as show off its history. Who knows if a railroad will ever be built there. As I heard it, the railroad would be a short line, fairly flat, around the floor of the Blue River Valley. The town has expressed keen interest in obtaining C&S #9 to run on this railroad, if and when it exists. This is also something that I don't know will actually come to fruition. Currently the town has no locomotive to run on this line, as the Loop has #9, and probably as of the 2008 season, the #111.
