Detroit Yukon Mining Company #1 *PIC*

I'm colorizing this image for Dave Gould, here's the image as I received it, and the partially colorized version. Any thoughts on the colors? The Porter boiler was delivered black, I'm wondering about the cab?
Note, they are pushing a piece of machinery or something with the pole and loco!
Photos were taken at Bear Creek, near Dawson , Yukon Territories in 1904. The Detroit Yukon Mining Company had four identical Porters for their gold mining operation of which three have survived in one form or another. The #2 loco slid in the Yukon River in the 1930’s and remains there today.
