The ride is excellent. It is slightly over two hours each way, so you leave on the train at 10 am and are back in Durango at 3. A two-year old may well need some distractions along, but you know best about your child. After your trip (or on the day before if you plan to ride Thur, Fri, or Sat) come visit the DSNGRR museum, which is open from 1pm to 4pm on Wed through Saturday.
