Please keep in mind that Huckleberry Railroad/Crossroads Village is a Genessee County Park. The county seat is Flint, yes that Flint.
The Michigan economy is horrible as the auto industry moves overseas as much as possible. It has been bad for some years and not likely to get better for a few more years. Flint/Genessee County is in worse shape and has been there longer.
There was consideration given to closing the park. It might have been political posturing but sometimes plans like that get implemented.
You can take that as a testamant to Marty Knox and the Huckleberry employees that the railroad still operates and does so safely.
