As I recall 26" steel wheels weigh 680 lb each and an axle weighs about 500 lbs. That makes a total of about 1860 lbs. The cast iron wheels might be slightly lighter. If the truck is in good shape, you have a good way of tying them down and you are only going a short distance you might get away with it. My experience suggests that it is penny wise and pound foolish. I have been foolish in the past and gotten away with it but I wouldn't recommend it.
