Bill, no formal agreements have been made with the D&SNG regarding operating the 315 on their right-of-way. We plan to start such negotiations soon. Scheduled trips would be announced at a later date.
The locomotive is about 85% finished. We are confident the 315 will be operable as soon as April. The hope is to test-run the engine shortly thereafter on the D&SNG, if that railroad company can accomodate us then. Testing would be primarily around the yard, and will not be a public event.
I would also like to point out that informal negotiations have started with the C&TS. If you were a member, you could request and get a monthly e-mail with photos of our latest progress. You would also get the earliest announcements of operating trips on both railroads in 2007. Please consider joining our productive and ambitious group.
