I have read the reports on these interesting moves. I have often thought about doing some sort of DVD on the Cumbres Pass Route in Transition. I was there in 1968 to see some of the last freight runs, then again in 1969 when no trains were running(except Durango), and twice in 1971 the first full season of operations.
What would be missing for me would be footage of those last 1968 trips, and first ones in 1970 and 1971. While it would be a challenge to do such a program, I wonder if there would be many who really care in the long run.
Am sure the still photos and attached stories will be of interest on this board where a lot of folks are interested in NG history.
