Little Book

The book was published in 1997 by Sonja Johns. I spoke with her sister-in-law this morning. Sonja passed away 4 years ago. The lady I spoke with said she has had numerable calls asking for a copy of the book, but none are available.
The Book was compiled by Mrs. Johns for a 1997 reunion of Bates/Austin/Knutevill residents and mill/train workers. It is described as "A collection of stories by previous residents of the Bates/Austin area". Some good stories, and of course some photos. Most photos are poor quality as you have seen. She said a man in Michigan wants to republish it, but she would not reveal his name. I hope to meet and talk with her soon, perhaps she will share some more photos. She said Michiganite has a web site, but she is 89 yrs of age and doesn't have a computer, so she doesn't know anything about his web site. I'm looking to see if I can find his web site.
