Dear Gentlepeople,
And I use the term losely with due respect...
As a Colorado Narrow Gauger in German exile I have recently developed at strong need to read about colorado railroad and western history.
You mention the Lathrop stories, whether real or unreal which book are you taking about? Is it a good read? I have some of Forest Crossen's "Western Yesterdays" here with me, he as Ralph "Mac"calister were my honarary Grandfathers growing up in Boulder.
What other good sources can you "honarary brothers of narrow gauge" recogmend for my desire for history? I was reading a book "Memories of a Mountain Railroader"??? and left it by accident in a hotel in Brazil on a business trip last month. Can someone tell me the full title and author so that I can reorder it?
I stand to inherit so many wonderful books on Colorado RRs but I have never read them and now miss them while they are in Colorado and I not.
Thanks all of you for the quality discussions and decreasing flaming along certain topics...GLPRR...I miss Colorado.
Thor
