When the Nevada Central quit the 2-6-0 and the 4-4-0 that's on the main floor level of the museum were given to the Pacific Coast Chapter of the R&LHS. The engines were used at the Treasure Island world fair in a program about the Gold Spike. The Chapter transfered the engines and two Nevada Central n.g. passenger cars and two SP n.g. freight cars to the State of Caifornia when the CSRM was set up.
Appearently the family that owned the Nevada Central when it quit retained some reversionary interests in the engines as they had to sign off on the transfer and were listed on the donor wall in the Museum.
