I was out this summer and the 4-6-2 Occasional Rose was running. It was rebuilt last winter. It burns propane so there was no problem keeping steam up. The train was the propane car, three passenger cars and the caboose.
Like Lakeside the hogheads keep the Johnson bar in the corner. The track looked in better shape than at Lakeside.
Since the 10 does not have a trailing truck and has more tractive force. It can pull a longer train.
They also have two gasoline engines there. The Molly looks like a G16 while the Rio Grande painted engine is a former Royal Gorge Scenic locomotive built by Don Tiner in the 1950s.
