I want to buy a kodak for my wife for CHRISTmas and need some advice. She does not want to change lenses but she wants to be able to reach out and take a distant pix. I used to use a 50 by 300 mm telephoto for a lot of my pix in the film daze but I am plenty beau coupe dumb about digital kodaks. I have read some about the Cannons that goto 10x but have no idea what a 10x is outside of my shirt size.
Could one or more of you photog speaking people please give me some ideas? I don't want to take out a second mortgage on the retirement house and I want to leave a little for the kids to fight over (damn little) but there should be a somewhat affordable kodak with just one lens that will take telephoto shots, get going from a cold start quick enough to take a pix of the grandkids before they move and be simple enough that a blonde with a pedegree can operate it.
