May not as strange as you would think (3 axel trucks certainly would be strange). I believe that I have seen photos and the Westside model of D&RGW's K-37 appear that the tender trucks are standard gauge truck frames with wheels spaced to NG (3ft). Can someone confirm whether when the K-37s were made from standard gauge consolodations the tender trucks were replaced with true NG trucks or simply had the wheels/axels modified to NG but retained the original standard gauge truck frames?
