SR;
I believe this is the only one this way. the second remaining stall pit is normal width. I have been unable to determine when this modification was done, but surmise it was done to provide better access on outside frame loco's. another unanswered question is when the middle window was removed from the boiler area and replaced with a enlarged wooden hatch. it was speculated this was done to replace a boiler at some time.
