The rails are still in place from Broomfield to Lafayette, ending at Hwy. 7. They extend a short distance east of Longmont and are used for occasional storage, but the line between there and Lafayette was dismantled about 20 years ago. The line to Lyons still runs out as far west as the cement plant, with a stub for switching and storage reaching toward, but not into, Lyons. The track into Lyons was removed years ago as well, and the roadbed now serves as a hiking trail.
