Just to get it little closer, an air line from the train supply is connected to the water valve on the tank spout. Once opened, gravity lets the water flow from the water tower to the tender. Train air line runs at 70 psi. When done, train air then closes the valve.The water tower is then re-filled by Silver Plume water line pressure. The oil tank has an electric pump to pump fuel oil into the tender.
