100 years ago on the SVRy

A freind of mine and fellow SVRy officiando said he doesn't visit the NGDiss. Forum much anymore because there is seldom any SVRy historical material, so I thought I would post something of general interest from the SVRy AFE materials. From AFE #429, work order #430, Retire Depot at Tipton - Mile 51, Passenger and Freight Depot 1 story, 24' x 70' open platform 24'x 10' frame, built 1906 $2850.00. Platform 1952 sq. ft, frame $271.00. Sundries $58.00 Total Retirement $3179.00.
This AFE is not dated, but based on the number it is probably about Oct.-Dec. 1936, only 30 years after it was constructed which seems kinda sad.
Will the last person out please blow out the light....
