Here is a shot of #9 late this afternoon sporting the "bear trap"/Ridgway spark arrestor. #9 will be in service with the "bear trap" starting tomorrow morning.
A special thanks to Art Gibson who stopped by Silver Plume with his mother yesterday and shared some of his father's photos with us. The shots of #9 from March of 1937 showed the piping layout for the cinder catcher very clearly and we did our best to replicate it.
