Hi Ken,
I found a deal on a Canon Digital Rebel XT that I couldn't pass up earlier this year. It is 8 MP and came with a 18-55mm lens. Most of the shots were taken with this kit lens. On the high line I was trying out a Canon EF70-200mm F4L. Not a wide view but it seems crisper than the kit lens that came with the camera (it should for the price). For the goose shots on the trestle I used the 70-200 when the goose was backing up and switched to the standard lens before it came back across. I posted the shot from the telephoto as I thought it was much sharper. You may have noticed that the lights on the goose are not on as it is in reverse.
I'm going to try and put together a railfest 06 page one of these evenings. I know that Stephen wants a Perins Peak page that he can link from his site. I've got my work cut out for me. And in my spare time my doctor wants me to get more exercise instead of sitting in front of this machine. Maybe I should move to CO were I could hike grades to get in shape and keep the photos rolling in!
