Just a note to add to Michael's post. The Eureka Hill RR owned 40 of the K&J hoppers. These were the first cars built to that particular design. Does anyone out there know when the Pioche Pacific aquired their cars? I have a sneaking hunch that some of the PP cars came from the Eureka Hill.
Note also that the Eureka Hill had 22 of the former Colorado & Northwestern wood hoppers.
