Kevin was referring to the clerestory sides, which refers to the window frames as well. I don't believe any of the glass in any D&RGW clerestorys was green.
Many modelers paint the clerestorys black along with the roof.
Since the 60's, the clerestorys on the "Silverton" equipment were painted silver like the rest of the roof, but this practice was not done when the cars were painted green with black roofs.
