All cab rider's will be surprised to find out that the view of the track is different!
The most logical explanation that I can give would be to compare a view of the tracks ahead riding a motor car or the highway from an automobile. You can see 180 degrees ahead of you most of the time.
From a cab of a K-28 or K-36, the length of the boiler will take away your view ahead of the right or left side of the trackage. You only see 1/2 of what you are accustomed to.
Take along some ear plugs
