The four shots I have posted were taken in 1993 and 1994, when it was still the Deutsche Reichsbahn. I've been back several times since and it's still a great line. The equipment is now lettered HSB and there isn't as much steam service on the mainline past Drei Annen Hohne, nor on the Selketalbahn, but between Wernigerode and the Brocken it's all steam.
The tunnel is between Steinerne Renne and Drei Annen Hohne.
