I am PROUD to report that this evening, June 22, 2006, the No.9 made here first trip all the way down to the end of the line AND all the way back up to Silver Plume....with no problems! It was very exciting being at the throttle on the engine as she crossed the high bridge and crossed the Devil's Gate for the first time in a long....long tme! It went so well that we made the round trip for a second time. The old engine is a FANTASTIC steamer! More adjustments and more break-in runs to come.
VERY NEAT!
